Has anyone ever tried to fit 2dr arches to a 4dr?

As per the title, i got given a 4dr nova from a friend of my dads, i was guna sell it but after looking into it i realised there was some real potential in her. engine only done 24k and the body werent to shabby for a nova, anyway back to the reason for the thread,
has anyone heard of anyone fitting 2dr arches to a 4dr, any idea where to start?

4dr or 5dr (i.e. hatch or saloon)?

There was a 5dr on ebay not so long ago with 3dr arches. Actually made quite a good job of it, the arches were in the right proportions.

However, I'd say leave it as is - the round arches look much better on a nova than the crap 80's box arches

tbh it may look some what nicer but the hassle and money trying to fit them really would not be worth it, Ive got some original 4-5dr rear wheel arches if you are intrested, there in good condition, bought them about a year ago off haydrians panels and never got round to fitting them, they would be a good replacement for thoose rusty wheel arches, Instant message me if intrested

TBH, theres nothing that should be done to that 5dr Nova bodywork wise, it wouldnt look right. Colour code the Bumpers, a set of smart wheels and go nuts with the engine!!!! :D

It looks ok, but the rear arches seem to sit very low. I take it they're the arches of a front wing?

Yep, they were front wings. You really had to see this car with your own eyes to see how well it looked, if you know what I mean.

Ah yeah i know exactly, but I'm old school. I reckon if its a saloon, leave it as a saloon, they look much better that way. It looks like a 3dr with an ass welded on.

No photobucket at work, but I'm guessing thats the blue 2dr with the 3dr front arch grafted on the back? Thats the one I always think of when I say it will look naff lol

One reason I like the saloon's round arches is because they're both the same size.

thats my 5 door nova TD and my gte in the garage , mine had real metal blister arches and took forever to do but well worth it , also this car was owned by Mr courtenay i bought it off himhe built it for his son
