Hi all, as you may have seen in my wip i've purchased some new gaz coilovers. Funds are tight atm, and i'm wondering if i can utilise my existing good rubber top mounts from the old struts. (unless someone can find me some cheap new concentric top mounts!)
Anyone else managed this? if so pics please?

i do but they're on my phone...

only issue is you loose some height adjustment due to the thickness of the mounts compared to eccentric ones

it should bolt straight on mate. I know my avo's did. Its when you buy your eccentric top mounts the collars they come with will need drilling out to the size of your coilover piston.

just been and had a quick look, and with the top rubber and bearing on, the piston only just protrudes through, ther'es about 2 threads showing to start the new nut. That right?

Yeah that's with the springs slack. as soon as i drop the car down though, the spring mount will push against the top mount any way.

i see... not sure there then, you dont want to strip the thread! my spax had enough as the the adjustment is on the top of the strut
