Ive passed a used car place a few times over the past weeks and spotted a good looking burgandy MK2 hova. The GF reminded me to stop by as we went past today..... again from a distance she looked stunning, but my gut feeling that it would be a scrapper was tingling lol.

got the keys, went around her. A couple of minor cosmetic issues but nothing major. And the engine needs a little love in the way of seals and a service, but again no biggie.

ahh feck I purchased it lol.
H reg MK2 1.4 Luxe (yeah baby luxury) 43K 2 owners blah blah. Will be doing a Dan and keeping it 100% std.

So then, bearing in mind the VX is "supposed" to go on the VS stand, and I've not got a PNG pass, what shall I do lmao

Pics will follow when I've collected it and done a mini ghey clean of it.

Are you lot just trying to see how many novas we can get there this year?

Everyone seems to be buying them now on here (all the people without 1)

dont start with that...

he'll end up building a massive spec 1.4, then scrap it, like the 1.2 lol

owning a nova is like getting aids.... you get it for life, the actual cars may come and go but you never lose the NEED to have one.

Since I'm crap at projects (the 1.2 never being finished, our kitchen taking 9 months, the lounge taking 14 months so far etc), I'm simply not going to bother. Plus its more fun spunking cash on the VX

Lee
05-05-08, 07:20 PM
lol :)

I was planning on rejetting it and sticking it on the 1.2. Still might actually if i can find my little bag of jets!

The 1.4 will be fiddled with, its kind of a certainty.

Adam
05-05-08, 07:21 PM
He'll start off just by servicing it, and the money spending will start right there lol

Stuart
05-05-08, 07:22 PM
OK it "might" get ATE calipers of the same size as the delcos are crap.... but that would be it in terms of "modding"

Lee
05-05-08, 07:22 PM
Something will break, and the 'I may as well do this seeing as its broken' statememnt will appear :)

Adam
05-05-08, 07:22 PM
LIES LIES

You just cant admit to yourself yet that you will end up spending £££ on it ;) lol

Jack
05-05-08, 07:23 PM
£10 on engine mods within 6 months.

Lee
05-05-08, 07:24 PM
I wont take that bet lol

Stuart
05-05-08, 07:29 PM
in that I wouldnt complete the mods in 6 months or that they wont occur at all lol

Lee
05-05-08, 07:30 PM
lmao. Id take a bet that its sat out the back of your house with its guts hangin out for around a decade lol

Jack
05-05-08, 07:31 PM
Mods begin in 6 months, continue for a few years, then end up selling/scrapping 99% complete car :D

Dan
05-05-08, 07:35 PM
all ye of very small memory spans. May i cast your minds back to the old black beast he had, prior to the 1.2 project ;)

Adam
05-05-08, 07:37 PM
True, that stayed very standard if i remember rightly

Lee
05-05-08, 07:38 PM
All that proves is he's not very consistent LOL

Stuart
05-05-08, 07:46 PM
cnut :p

that old 1.2 remained pretty much std bar some 6*9's and new head unit for getting on for 5 years :D

w00t, the "dealer" had an MOT done on it today, needed a new downpipe (proper GM part) so has cost him money to sell the car :)

Insurance is ace lol. £190 TPFT for two named drivers and no no-claims to use on it :D and will be even less when I multicar the VX, astra and nova in August.
collect it tomorrow evening

Lee
06-05-08, 03:46 PM

Nice one Stu.

No Nova should be driven without SR seats & minimum of 185/60 tyres IMO.

[edit] My PNG pass may be spare if mine goes onto the TV stand.

Stuart
07-05-08, 01:50 PM
Cool, I call first dibs on that pass then :D

I've a feeling the tyres might be a little past it in terms of being perished, BUT they would get replaced with as close to factory spec as possible. No need for it to have "modern" tyres on it. Its not for driving in fast.... thats for the astra lol

craig green
07-05-08, 01:52 PM
Old skool Astra LXi 14" rims. No one ever fits them anymore. Keep it period I say!

Pass is yours unless I park mine with PNG........ (undecided)

I think I might be able to spot the next trend - all the original nova owners off here actually owning novas:eek: lol

It aint right and it aint naturallol

MC
07-05-08, 05:48 PM

So, are you actually going to pay for this one? lol

Ooh is that Satin Red? Loved my luxe+ in satin Red.

Really suits satin black wheels despite black wheels being the homo's choice ever since I stopped using mine.
