There is a Proper breakers yard not far from me. By proper i mean the likes of Aston Martins, Elises, Porsches, Cosworths, Evo's etc etc and an auction section where you can pick Nova's up for as little £100.

A friend of mine blagged a mint 200bhp+ RST on a G plate for £450 with a sheetload of history with it (ended up there for no insurance)

EDIT: My white shell was oringally from there, my mates dad paid £70 for it including delivery and it only needed a lock set. Car came complete with its oringinal sales reciept (for £5200 IIRC) and 1 owner from new (at the time)
