Is this the fuel send or the return?

Wheres this pipe ment to go? There is two pipes, I guessed that one went on to the inlet, right next to where the alternator mount is.

What the hell is this little thing? Located on the righthand side back corner of the head. It has a small rubber hose coming off it, has this got be connected up anywhere?

Also, what size fuelline from pump to engine bay, I bought 8mm (Interal Diameter) and it doesnt fit, too small.

Cheers in advance for any help :thumb:

Pic 1:

That is the return as it comes out of the regulator.

Pic 2:

That is the fuel in / supply

Pic 3:

That is the water pipe that comes off the inlet manifold just next to where you are holding it and then through the throttle body. You need to spilt the rubber support thing holding it to other pipe an feed it across the engine bay to the header tank.

This is the fuel tank vent valve gay thing. I never run them to be honest and ouy wont be able to unless you have the crap carbon tank in your front wing. Plug it into the loom (so it doesnt throw up any fault codes) but I wouldnt bother actually connecting the vacuum pipes. Also just to say if you dont connect it up then make sure you block off inlet bit on the throttle body where it comes to, otherwise you will have a air leak on your inlet.

Also the fuel pipe is 8mm, as ive always used that on all novas / corsas.

Nice one phil.

I just checked the fuel line I bought and its 7.6mm ID so I need to get that swapped.

Also, that pipe in pic 2 goes to the header tank, top or bottom? I got the top of the header connected to one of the black plastic pipes under the inlet. The bottom one is going to the top right hand side of the radiator. Do i need to plumb in a T-piece or have I hooked up the coolent hoses in the wrong places?

That pipe goes to the top of the header tank as its flowing out of it back into the header tank. On my corsa I used this one to cool the turbo, purely as its a constant feed as opposed to the rad one which is an over flow.

Most people T this pipe into the top of the rad over flow (the one you currently have going to your header tank. But I always use a cav / calibra header tank that has an extra inlet on the top of the header tank, as this is where that pipe goes on the original set up. Hope that makes sense.

I knew there was a T-piece somewhere after reading some other posts so this explains alot.

It makes alot of sense, once again cheers mate. Ill get out there tommorow and get it sorted.

would the tank vent valve cause random misfireing at random if its not blanked and just pluged into the vacume on the inlet and nothing else

It'll cause an air leak when it does open if its not block on the fuel tank side of things I would guess.

Remove the vent valve hoses, but leave the valve plugged in.
