Hi, just wondered if anyone could help me, i got an abbyss back bumper today and i am having trouble fitting it:( my exhaust end wont fit through the hole. There is a bit in the middle of the hole that looks like it can be cut out, is it meant to be for people with big ends on there exhaust?
I can get the exhaust through the hole without cutting that bit out but its a very tight fit and i am not sure if it will do anything to the bumper as the exhaust gets very hot. Any help would be appreciated.
here is a pic of my bumper its not a very good pic because i took it when it was getting dark

theres nothing to stop you modifying your kit to fit the exhaust, you see it done
what i would do is get a twin exit exhaust, one in each opening in the bumper, and mesh them off around them.
have a look at the blue nova saloon in total vauxhall this month, that has a twin zorst

Hi, thanks for your reply i was thinking of doing that in the future but i have just resprayed my car and brought new side skirts and stuff so i am spent up for now:( Do u know if i put the exhaust though the hole which will make it a tight fit will it do anything to the bumper ? Because i dont really want to mess up the bumper as i will be putting a double exhaust on in the future. Thanks in advance

I've seen loads of novas with their exhaust coming throught the opening on the bumper. One nova had a twin exhaust, one on each side, looked cool. If you want you exhaust to peep through the diffuser then you'll have to position the exhaust in the right place and get a bracked welded on to hold the exhaust in place, the only thing is that if the exhaust touches the bumper it will vibrate the bumper to shit, I had this when I thought I could rest my magnex under my novadose bumper, didnt sound very good!
If your exhaust is a tight fit you may have to do some slight modding to the bumper or even buy something like a twin square exhaust and mod that to fit.

Hi thanks for everyones reply, i tryed to put my exhaust through the hole again today but it wont even line up to go through. I have a standard back box in my garage does anyone know if that would fit in right without having to mod it until i get another performance exhaust that fits. Thanks in advance

have you looked at the rubber which holds the backbox to the welded bracket, you could get another rubber from another car and mabey modify it a bit so it holds the exhaust in place, wd40 will help to ease the rubber off and on the backbox and bracket. Ive got a rs turbo rubber on my magnex to hold and drop the exhaust about and extra two inches.

I didnt reliase you had a peco big bore, thats always one of the things with the peco, they always stick out at an angle, I dont know if a bigger rubber will help mate in that case, worth a try though.

i've got a full janspeed on mine and it has the same angled tailpipe. what u need is one that exits straight out and not at 45 degrees like the 1 u got. i had a peco big bore three on my last car and that came out straight. get 1 of these an you'll be laughing......(don't buy the four inch 1 though cos that is an angled 1).
u can see pix of my old car at http://www.novaload.net/features/viewfeature.php?ref=194
the pic isn't that clear but u can see that the exhaust comes out straight, not angled
