As you might have gathered with all the various threads about brakes I have posted recently Im gonna change a few things and renew old bits.

I went to Vaux today to get prices on a few bits including front brake pipes, the rubber ones:

61.40 + VAT :wtf: ( thats for both)

I have found a site selling them for a lot cheaper but there are 2 types. Single flared pipes (year 8/85-) 300/305mm £8.83 & double flared pipes (year -8/85) 307mm in length £7.60.

What is the difference in single and double flared? (and dont say one has 2 flares lol )

Both these parts are listed for all Nova's 83 - 93 exc GTE GSi. Plus my Nova is a 8/85 so im confused

I have had a look at Goodridge hoses but they are also quite expensive & Im a po' ass Nova owner

Go a motor factors, i just paid £13 for two for a Corsa(same fitment as nova)
Single and double flared is is pipe connection type the hose union uses.

You need single for a nova.

I will be trying some factors but just getting an idea of prices on the net and this seems very reasonable.

Thanks again Adam

most places used to sell them for £38.50 a set, you should be able to find some on e-bay for a similar price.
