I''ve now just broken my 2nd starter motor in 1 month.
I've noticed that when i try to start the car (after a few hours of running to how ever long) it really struggles and it takes a good 30 seconds and some heavy pumping to get it to turn over.
However once its started, even for a few seconds (so its not like it doesn't like the cold) it will just fire up straight away.

Its almost as if it locks/stuck/seezes up but once it's turned its game on and shes fine.besides the starter motor thats getting recked

any idea's tom :wtf:

Wrong flywheel ring gear, not meshing properly?

No idea, I'm throwing ideas at you.

Gearbox off, flywheel & starter off & check.

Turn the engine over by hand with the plugs out. Put a wrench on the lower V belt pulley bolt if accessible to turn it over, It shouldn't be too difficult to rotate.

No just a cheep starter motor. Put a new one on and she started ok.

Don't think you will save money buying a recon one. Go brand new !!
