Hi all...

Not far off getting my 1600 16v on throttle bodies in and running. Was wondering if anyone has a DTA map for a 1600 16v on TB's they could send to me? I know it will run on the map I have, but would feel happier if I had something closer to start it on and get it to the RR.

Cheers

Looks like it would have been MBE and for a higher spec TP184. Cheers though and I would prob still be interested to see what the map looked like.

I have some randoms ones and the SBD base maps for the 164 and 182 kits somewhere...

Let me know if you need them...

Hi,

Not sure how much use a fuel map will be as it is very much dependent on the fuel pressure at the injectors, but I will be able to % difference accross the rev range and throttle load. The ignition maps will be very helpful.

I have a X16XEL with Parrallel Jenvey TB's (20xe injectors I think) and 4-branch (approx 30" primary)magnex manifold and system.

Where the map I have falls down is the cranking, idle and temp correction. The fuel is a bit iffy and the ignition is an unknown quantity.

as you say, you can normally use a % trim value to compensate for different injector sizings and FP. this is usefull to get it 'up and running' but will need to be corrected later.

your only ever going to get as good as a base map anyway, so no point worrying too much about spec. as long as it runs safe, not too retarded and is away from detanation it will be fine. it will become obvious when you look at the map if it is far away.
aim cranking timing at about 10-15 deg and play with it from there. dont even think about temp corrections for fuel and ign until you have a decent map.
