Got a set of GSi Sideskirts here that have been badly painted by a blindman with a trigger finger  (they've started flaking too )

Can anyone suggest a paint stripper that will remove this sh!tty metallic paint without damaging the plastic itself, want them to look factory again ;)

cheers

Also...would 2000grit sand paper give a satin finish to them ?

Mine were badly painted black when I got them, so I just powerwashed them remove any flakey bits, then rubbed them down, sprinkle of primer, and few coats of PlastX? Vauxhall bumper paint, looks good. See my project thread!

my suggestion would be to use someone bead blaster and use very fine, almost powder glass beads,i used this to remove the paint from my washer bottle and works a treat, not sure what the finish will come up like on black plastic though, might need a spot of back 2 black on them.might struggle finding someone with a suitable sized bead blaster though, where you form?
e2a;west yorkshire,never mind lol
