does anyone know the weights of these engines in standard form

1.6 8v
1.6 16v
2 ltr 8v
2ltr 16v (redtop)
2.5 v6 c25 xe

i think the 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 and 1.6 are pretty similar if not exactly the same as theyre all based on the same block basically

1.6 8v - Id guess at around 8stone
1.6 16v - As above
2 ltr 8v - 10st?
2ltr 16v (redtop) - As above
2.5 v6 c25 xe - Funking heavy!!!

id have thought a 16v would weigh more htan an 8v

A 1.6 16v is quite a big bastid tbh, much heavier than a 8v(bigger head/two cams, massive inlet etc dont help things)

Xe is also heavier than the 2L 8v.
Xe and F20 is around 150/160kg iirc.

Small block 8v around 120/130

8 stone for a 8 valve? i can lift loads more than 8 stone but can't lift a engine from the nova! i know a red top is 45 kg at least heavier than 8 valve!

Thats not the point tho, Free Weights are easy to lift.. but engiens are awrward(sp)..

i cant just about Dead lift a redtop( had to move it with no crane or stand from the top of my garden to the front lol

there not that heavy..

According to Carfolio, the difference in weight between a 2.0 16v Calibra and 2.5 V6 Calibra is 54Kg, both 5 speed manual transmission
