in the middle of rebuilding my 1.6gte engine. there is a part that is bolted onto were the manual fuel pump usually is on carb'd engines. it looks like a pump but i dont know what for and i dont have any pipes for it. cheers
off the top of my head I'd guess its the hot start valve, or possibly an ICV

Indeed that is the ICV, though the HAYNES refers to it as a secondary air device IIRC.
It is 110% an ICV
x1 3pin (IIRC) elec conection plugs into it, then theres x1 inlet pipe and x1 outlet pipe approx 12mm+ Dia

yep, thats the one, so is it air hoses running to it and were do they go to and from?

One comes off the AFM to T/B induction pipe (IIRC) and goes to said valve then goes onto.....cant remember lol

the otehr pipe will need to go the other side of the TB

ifirc the other one goes to the inlet manifold somewhere near the end i will have a look as i could be wrong

second thoughts looking at the pics of my old one it looks like the pipe disapears under the throttle boddie

Goes into a pipe at the back of the inlet plenum.

cheers people, need to find somewere for it to come in from first, got soem pipe to run it to the back of the t/b. there is also an air pipe on the right hand side of the throttle body, anyone know were thsat goes? its next to a small vaccuum pipe. also there is a thing under my driver wing with 2 long pipes coming form it, anyone know were they need to go?
