XE/LET will need mounting kit and what not, but all stuff you can readily buy off the shelf which would make it the easiest option on the power to fitment difficulty scale.

Biggest engine would probably be a V6, but that requires a bit more effort. Well, Phil put a V8 into a Nova, but that wasn't exactly just "dropping it in" lol

i think he ment without doing any welding or anything, in that case a 1.6 8v from a gte/gsi me thinks

Well you could put an XE/LET in without doing any welding.

Won't stay in the engine bay very long though lol

This your first car? Straight swap, fit a Cavalier 1600. They're under powered compaired to the GTE GSi 16v but its a direct swap, no extra wiring etc....

How are you planning to insure this car?

If its a single point injection 1.2 you can fit an intank multipoint injection pump and fit a gte/gsi 1.6. Will bolt straight in

if you use the 1.6 from the cavalier make sure you used the right coil and dizzy if not be prepeared to melt pistons :thumb:
