6 1/2 inch Door speakers?

I recently bought a pair of JBL P63's (6 1/2 inch component speakers) to go in my door cards. Will they fit straight in or will I need to purchase some kind of door pods? The mounting depth that is required is about 4 1/2 inches I think.

I have a set of kenwoods of similar size - I;ve just recovered my door cards so an building pods.

If you have leccy wondows u "should " be ok - otherwise you may find you have door supports in the way - dont cut them away what ever you do! compromise the door strength.

I plan to build oval pods using fibreglass and filler - then to cover with the same fabric as my cards. Juts need the time to do it...

Best thing to do is get yer door card off and look whats behind.

Dead easy to remove - 4 screws on bottom of door under pockets, 2 under the door pull in the moiddle, possible c clip if u have winder and plastic square around the handle.
