timing belt/chain?

hi there can anybody help? I just bought a 1,2 i trip with only 30k miles. Im servicing it myself but as i dont have the manual or service book i have no idea when the timing belt (or is it a chain?) will need replacing. Is this something i should be concerned with on such a low mileage car? Thanks :)

its a belt and it DEFINITELY needs changing.

general changing is 4 years or 40Kmiles as a rough gauge for most cars.
