The new engine sounds
Also looks like you were pushing it more than you made out in the pit area afterwards.

i pushed it to the point where i felt i wouldnt bin it. Still felt slow tbh.

But yeh, that engine is a fooking peach!!

My I congratulate you Lee on completing a track day with an Engine still in one piece lol - It must have felt good to be going home knowing that you didn't have to fit another engine before your next event !!!! :thumb:

Bring on the next track day :)

My I congratulate you Lee on completing a track day with an Engine still in one piece lol

thats probably due to someone else building the engine and not Lee :D lol

Lee

lmfao

Actually, its more to the point that someone who isnt a retard biult this one. I didnt build my first proper XE, a mate of mine i ONCE trusted did and reaped the consequenses.

Second one was always going to blow up, we changed one big end shell after it flattened at llandow without touching the crank lol

But as I said to Chris on MSN last night. Im glad they both went bang or I wouldnt have bought his. And its an absolute belter!

Nice vids :D

I dont actually need a valver, but valver power would be nice ;) :p
Think its time for more mods to my current engine, and loose weight from the shell

Have to say though, it was fooking awesome fun (considering id never even been in a standard 20xe nova before, let alone a high spec one on a trackday) lol, passing everything on track. Even the brake lockup was pretty funny :D lol
Engine sounds amazing. :thumb:

Sounds lovely Lee :thumb: Glad you had a trouble free day, it didn't sound like there was any scrubbing either
all that torque is wasted in the wet though :p
Sorry I didn't make it yesterday, ate/drank something that didn't agree with me and was in no fit state to be travelling :(

LOL.

Lee what is the reason for your engine being torquey? Cams or something?

Lee
21-04-08, 11:29 AM
Craig, my guess is the map Jam made for the engine due to the injectors being maxed out. Ther'es still loads more power to be had up top with a set of Yellows installed, so i think they just backed the power off in favour of some more lb/ft :) Cant wait to try it in the dry with grip!

Good vids mate.
As for mine i will have to get some one to sort them for me as not to good with pc's.
I only got my first session on camera as started it of way to early and got about 15mins of chatting in the car park.
Also i was using my new camera which has come out so much better than the old 1.
Shame about the weather but as said fun was had out on track and all of are lot went home in 1 peice.

Lee

How big is the file chris? Or is it still on the camera?

Is it running the map that Chris T had done at jamsport then?

Is it his whole engine, or just his block, as it made like 220hp on jams rollers iirc?

Lee
21-04-08, 06:24 PM
It made 217 on jams rollers :)

yeah. My setup is identical, bar the FPR (which i know was set too low on the RR day) and it had stale fuel in it. lol
