I've taken that pinstripe off the bumpers and it has snapped in several places despite my efforts at being really careful. So I was wondering if anyone knows of any replacement?

Vauxhall? Or some random vynil company to make one up?

Is it the pinstripe in your rubbing strips?

Halfords and local auto factors stock pin stripes.
I tried to find an exact fit for inside the rubbing strip and was always a mm out.

Edit: just re-read and its in your bumpers.. lol

Run around the bumper with a pinstripe or insulation tape. Then simply trim it to width carefully with a sharp stanley blade.

I've done it many times.

will insulation tape hold?

Yes, unless its crap.

[edit] Looks crap but here's some white insulting tape on my bumpers.

Surely if you pressure wash that, it'll peel off?

Other than that it gives a nice finish!

Make sure the bumper is clean, No Back to Black, No Bumper Gel, or anysort of spray, polishes etc.

It will hold if you dont stretch it while applying it. Once its on, heat it gently with a hair dryer and pressure it on with your thumb to give it extra grip

Now, just try not to point the powerwasher directly at it. Should be fine!

I've never had any issues with it falling off or peeling off for that matter.

Clean grease free bumpers goes without saying.

yeah as said above if bumpers are clean and insulation tape is good then it will hold.

Mine fell off when I did it with insulation tape.

i've always used the halfords stuff.

couldn't make my mind up so on one car i had red, white, blue and black. they were fine and didn't peel off.................even if it lasted 6 months its only a couple of quid for a roll so just redo it :thumb:
