called hic earlier in the year to see what changing the saloon to let power would cost and was told just an admin charge. called on saturday to change it from the renewal date so i can get it back on the road at the end of the month and was told they couldnt give me an answer as to weather they would cover me and would call me back, got the call back today and couldnt beleive it my renewal quote has fallen by changing the engine, the valver renewal was £293 and the let £280 needles to say i ripped there hand off and the car can come out to play from the 20th, to say im chuffed with the quote is an understatment, big thanks to everyone at hic for making me a very happy chappy:) :) :) :) :)

You've got to be an old git with a quote like that? Or, live in a large field in the middle of no where!

how old does a car have to be on a classic policy? and is it limited mileage?

with hic it has to be at least 15 year old, and has to be a second vehicle, which also means there is no ncd needed, mine is limited to 5000 miles a year

I recently renewed with HIC too. £228 for my nova, TPFT, with agreed value, I'm 25 with 4years NCB. I'm absolutely chuffed with that price :D
Im with hic too
Always give the best quotes, for me anyway.

on a classic policy, 5k mile sis the most you can go, and as said ncb is irrelavent
I think HIC offer 7500 on a classic policy, or at least their web quote system used to allow you that much.
Boo, the best I got from HIC on the saloon with an XE was £298, that was me being 25 years old on a classic policy (8 years experience and full NCB, not used tho), top grade postcode, 3k mileage limit and one SP50 with 3 points! I wanted cheaper than that - the Celica costs me £400 FC with business use, drive any car, like for like on mods - might have to ring Sky.
