ive just finished making a storage area for tools/equipment/parts. i used WBP ply and treated timber, is it nessasery (sp) to paint or treat the bare edges of the ply to stop them delaminating or would it be fine? :thumb:

If its a water proof board then its been treated with something already (clear poly varnish or sealer maybe?)

Theres no point what so ever applying a finish coat to it anyway, its not as if its being used to cross the channel Ala Captain Jack Sparrow stylee is it lol

wbp conforms to the bs1088 which is british standard for ply wood, in other words its water proff but when ever are you going to boil a sheet of ply wood lol any way the ply you have is laminate using a glue called resosonol formmaldahyde  which is the dogs of glue and protected with a clear coat of epoxy resin, but when cut the wood is fresh there for not treated so yes it does need to be treated hope this helps you :thumb:
