Just finished colour coding various body mouldings and fitting the skirts. I plan on doing the bumpers and bump strips in black to match the theme whilst trying to keep the red detail on them.

What are people opinions on what to do after this? I was planning on a GSi bumper, but I think the standard one has grown on me since the skirts are on. It's about the same depth now.

What do you think...? (Other than it's in desperate need of a polish!)

The wheels by the way, are the same matt black used on the body mouldings. For some reason they just look ultra shiny.

I HATE THE BUMP stripes!!! and my were a pain to come of , and i think it would be a bit better with colour coded door handles and clear side repeaters but just my opinion. if your gonna keep the front bumper to and no gsi it, i would lower the car but again just mi opinion lol.

Astra Mk4 splitter on the poverty front bumper IMO, rather than the GSi front. And ditch the bump strips.

I like the sidekirts without the rear fins though, looks quite tidy.

Well i've only just done the handles in black, as with the lock surround and grab handle etc. It looks quite striking I think.

I agree about lowering it. Although I want to keep the Eibachs I have on at the moment. Might look into having them wound down/shortened however they do it!

Do you by chance know how much Vauxhall sell the Mk4 bumpers for?

do the bumpers, rub strips and side skirts black to contrast with red but also keep the red pinstrip round

:S they aren't THAT bad!

Anyway I might be partial to a quick one up the rear, so I want to keep them.

But make them as black as Akon.

You've done a good job of fitting them mate.
Look much better painted black than they did in standard form.

I just replied to your wanted thread for the rear lights.
I have a set in good condition... also got tinted side repeaters somewhere to match.

I like the body mouldings tbh. Not many people leave them on & it keeps the car looking like a Vauxhall IMO.

I say paint the wheels silver & have the springs wound down as you say.

GTE/GSi window surrounds.

I've just done the wheels in black!

I agree about the bump strips. I want to paint them black but I taking them off and getting them back on sounds like a real task.

id say go for the colout code on the bumpers
also need to clean your tyres up as you can see the overspray on the tyres from the wheels.

yea :P It'll crack and come off in no time!

did you mask the wheels? Looks like you sprayed the tyres!

looks good - but did you prep the plastic 1st - eg with plastic primer? if not you may find after a few months it'll start to crack and come away. Plastic is a biatch for that. Will also happen on wheels if you need to change the tyres - those tyre fitting machines are a biatch and are not forgiving to non preped alloys - paint tends to chip - would be a shame...

I did plenty of rubbing down on the alloys, even started with a black and decker mouse to take the chrome finish off. They had plenty of primer too.

I did spray the tyres, but as I was spraying the wheel black i thought it would just peel off in no time and you wouldn't notice :s

I just used standard primer on the plastics except the bumpers in which I used proper bumper paint. Hope it doesn't peel!

Right, I'm gonna make a suggestion, just my thoughts though.

Loose the Skirts, Bumper Gel the **** out of the Bumpers and Rub Strips. Leave them as they are. Paint the door handles Red and lower the car right down. Oh and give me your SX Badges.
