Best order now if you want it fitted before PV.
I've heard a lot of bad reports recently of long delays.

We do carbon bonnets!

And ours aren't wet lay-up like all the others. We vacuum-bag them, so they can be a fair bit lighter.

They start at £395. They're up on eBay now. I can't post the link until I post a few more times. PM sent. Feel free to re-post it :)

The bonnets look very nice - I'm guessing that John Cross does these for you?

Nope, we make everything ourselves in-house. Very proud of it too. What it means, is that we can tailor every bonnet to each individuals requirements. If you want one lighter or stronger than normal, we do can either.

What about other items, like Tail Gates and wings?

Tailgates are a definate for the future, same prices as with bonnets. Wings are much harder (from our experience with the mk1 golf wings), so unless people would be willing to pay £700 a pair (please leave comments on this), they probably won't happen for a while.

If 5 people wanted to pre-order tailgates, we could go ahead with them alot sooner. (It costs us around £1000 - £1500 to make a new mould, so we need a bulk order to get things going without loosing too much).

cheers, Mike

Hi Mike.

I assumed that John Cross was involved due to the 'X-Sport Racing' graphics on the Nova in your EBAY advert. My mistake.

Many years ago I had moulds made for carbon fibre doors, and sold about 6 sets of those. When I sold my last Nova rally car, the moulds went with it, and since then I still get a fair number of enquiries for lightweight doors.

Unfortunately the moulds have now gone AWOL........unless someone knows their whereabouts?

Thought it was worth mentioning as you might find it's viable to do some doors (although I appreciate that door moulds are very complex).

ah I see, its a customer's car, but he does know the guys from X-sport racing I believe - there are stickers all over it :)

Door moulds would have been great, would have saved us alot of work. But our moulds are subtly different than normal, because of the way we process the carbon fibre. If someone could track down the moulds, we could well be interested.

I'd also be interested in a complete set of Panels, but I'd sooner get the lot together to save on shipping or even make a trip to the mainland UK.

As for the wings, I understand these are expensive and awkward to mould but £700 is a lot of money for them.

Hi Mike,

Would you be interested in producing some for an FTO.
There are lots of members on the owners club who would like OEM rep bonnets. The only thing easily available at the minute is nasty EVO vented ones.
