Around the Stafford Area at J12 to J14 north & south, theres several deark coloured Volvo's sitting in the hard shoulder with the hazard lights going and a guy just sitting on the armco.

It appears theyve broken down. Nope. Said cars have camera's in the back and there are Police patrols several miles past them to get you :thumb:

Saw at good 10 cars pulled today. My van is limited to 67mph, so no i wasnt being a naughty boy either lol just though I'd inform some of you yokel's to this "entrapment" exercise.

Whats the wieght of your van? If its limited then its probably 3.5tn or more? If so then the speed limit for your vehicle on a motorway is... 60mph - sorry.

oh and cheers for the warning, i'll let the lads at work know

nope most companys now fit limiters to save fuel and tyre ware

we have them at work,

on LDV convoys 3.4ton all the time, 2.5 flat for none turbo diesel all 50bhp of it, it has a job to get to the limiter as it is lol

haha unluckly baxter - i hate those LDV's

Part of the group I work for is a rental company probably get 50-60 fines a week for various parking and speeding things. Many of our contract hire vehicles are now being fitted with trackers :D

yep we got them too and if you go over 75 mph down a rather rather big hill and rev the bollox out of it past the limiter, it flashes up on the bosses Pc lol

2.9 ton or less IIRC :thumb: I can only legally drive upto 3ton on a car license anyway as my license hasnt got the picture of a van on the back of it lol

I'll double check but im sure it's 2 ton, which I thought was low TBH. I got a leaflet stuck on the wall at work from TfL.

Why only 3 ton? I drive 3.5tn vans weekly with work, anything bigger you need a tacho card and a differant license ;)

BTW, i recon your be fine anyway, they allow you 'X' amount mph over anyways - never seen one under 68mph in a 60mph limit :)
