gear problem <PLEASE HELP>

fitted a new hear knob a while back and while removing the old one i broke the gears stick (the two plastic bits at at bottom what hold it in the ball broke off)
so i went to a scrappy and got a new one, fitted it fine but now i cant get 1st or 2nd gear :S
i have no idea, crap on the mechanical side of things, im a body man
any help is much appreciated

dude, i did exactly the ssame thing to mine, fitted a new one and couldnt get 1st or 2nd

right

under the car near the gearbox there will be a selector shft, with either a pin & spring or a hole, you need to emove the pin/ press in the hole and undo the 13mm nut off that holds them together, then go inside the car and remove the gear gaitor, then put the stick where it should be "there will be 2 lines that need to be lined up" . then simply tighten it abck up

ill go and have a look in haynes manual, see if theres a better explaination in there :thumb:

yep i got i my manual gona have a look now and have a bash tomorrow after work, thanks for all the help.
