In all honesty fella, just run through the lights and check your usual rust places, just bung it in and see what comes out the other side, every testers opinion is different, and vastly different from yours, so bung it in.

aslong as the rust isnt soft and can cause a hole you should be fine

looks fairly solid from what i can make of the pics mate. as long as none of the rust feels weak enough to push through you should be fine

Poke at any rust you find, if it goes through, its a fail.

All depends on your MOT tester mate. The one that my dad uses is a right moany old geeza.

Some parts of my dads underside on his Cav have started to corrode bit like yours has and he had a right moan about it and said he'd just let it pass.

when I inspected it all the metal was firm no holes and wasnt flaking or poking through.

So its all down to the mood of the guy on the day, not to put you off I hope but dont worry even the most conifdent of owners sometimes get a surprise.

All the best

Paint over it with hammerite so it doesn't look so crusty.

i've done worse than that before!

had a quick check over one of my old cars before the mot. found a rather large hole (we're talking you could get your hand in it!). it was a blatent fail...................that was until i broke open the fibreglass paste :D

slopped pretty much a whole tin in, smoothed it as best as i could and gave the whole area a dose of black spray paint..............voila, next day it passed the mot lol

i once failed on rear shockers & was skint, so I removed them, rubbed them down & painted them. it passed the retest.

An old friend of the missus failed with her e reg cav for a hole in the sill, made with a no.2 pozidrive screwdriver by the tester. I fixed it. at the retest he stuck the screwdriver thru the other sill & failed it. i fixed that. I also told her to go back to the tester & offer to stick a screwdriver thru any panel he liked on his own car. when he got upset, she then asked where was his proper rubber hammer, & she was going to report him for doing faulty tests. she got the cost of the sills refunded.........
