c.v joints for 2.0 8valve

hiya, i tryed to fit some cavalier 1.8 c.v joints to my uprated drive shafts today.
The short shaft ones fitted fine, iner and outer. but only the hub side c.v fits the longer shaft, the gearbox end is slightly smaller and the c.v is to large. im unsure what make shafts they are, if that would make a diffrence?
any ideas which c.v to use?Thanks. Ben. x

Count the splines on the gearbox end of the driveshaft for me. There should be 22. If there isnt, you have the wrong long shaft pal.

i think i have got a long 22 spline shaft ben but i hate taking boots off so if you want come check and get dirty £20 not 100% though

Don't need the boots off to check, CV is a totally different shape for the 22 spline ones.
