ok i didnt want it to come to this but ive been left no choice:

on the 21st of july i noticed this post in technical http://www.novaload.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=63451&highlight=
after posting neil sent me a PM saying he wanted ?55 for the dash

after a few backward and forward PM's i decided to go for it and he sent me his home address and bank details

i decided to transfer the money direct rather than farting around with cheque clearances and stuff

on tuesday the 30th i paid the money and sent him a PM saying i'd paid, i recieved no response and pm'ed him again on friday August the 2nd and still no response

i decided to phone him on monday (5th) - he said he'd posted it on sunday and it should be here soon

i was happy with this so i waited

by the 7th i was gettin a bit annoyed as it doesnt take a shipping company 3 days to bring a parcel up from england so i treid messagin him and phoning him to find a tracking number for the parcel and couldnt contanct him on either i sent him an email to which he finally responded to on the thursday, he said he'd go down the post office and check - but didnt give me the trackin number which is what id originally asked for and what I needed to try to trace it from this end,

after a few more calls to his mobile which seemed endlessly unresponsive and another email i got a reply: he said that parcel force seemed to have lost it but it was insured for ?80 he also said a friend of his had a dash that was for sale so he'd use the insurance money to buy the friends dash and he'd send me that

i said ok, things can get lost and i suppose getting the other dash will still get me what i wanted

so i waited - the 13th came and he sent me another email - he'd picked it up from his friend and was going to post it the next day (wed the 14th)

if he posted it wednesday i'd have assumed it would be here for friday but no it wasnt - so i phone him again - no response, no response to PM's or emails either

now i HIGHLY doubt that Parcel force would lose 2 parcels to the same address so i really wanna know whats goin on here

after waiting i finally got thru to his mobile on tuesday night (20th) - he seemed surprised that i hadnt got the dash and said he'd goto the post office the next day and phone me to let me know - i said ok and waited for his call which didnt happen, i phoned him to be greeted with his mobiles answering machine as per usual

so this has gone on for longer than a month now

any ideas what to do here folks - its not like i have ?55 to throw away

Thanks

it can happen, i sent a grill and bumper to two different people on the same day and neither ever turned up. but i did try to track the parcels and sent both guys there money back.

Not a lot you can do legally, go to the citizens advice burea and ask them what to do.

UH-OH this is like the Barnes GSi post. I think you ordered the dash the same time I ordered my air horns from him.

I had a similar prob with a set of air horns from Neil but in his defense, he said there was a postal strike in his area and it should be with me soon. After about 3 weeks the airhorns did arrive (came yesterday in fact) along with a wiring diargram for my leccy windows (auto cut off) he promised me.

I had however just left my parents address where they were sent (I'd been using their double garage to do up my car) and am now back in Glasgow so they are being forwarded on.

It did take a little longer than I had hoped but I got them - give him a chance... it'll arrive. I've got a feeling he's on holiday...

ok dash arrived today

im guessing it was the second one he sent as it is missing the gearbox tranny and he hadnt mentioned if his mates dash had the tranny with it

so now i need to of the halogen lamps for the backlight and a gearbox tranny :/

im sure halfords will have the halogen back lights so i just need the tranny from somwhere...

/me starts phoning scrappies
