I dispute that claim.
When wiring in the alarm on the Celica, it was a nightmare of a job - until I found the workshop manual. Every component has a number and a diagram (that includes all the connectors and junction boxes) so I knew exactly what and where everything is. Need to know what wires are in the central locking loom connector? No problem, its all in the schematic.
Came to do some wiring on the Nova, not only do they seem to like swapping the wire colours round year to year for no reason, I had one connector that was in a completely random place on the loom, about a metre or so away from where it should have been lol
yea a 200 arnt that hard when there standard, but my mates done something to his that made it a pain. the first two engine we took out were easy. iirc the 3rd engine we took out was a rb26

id engine outage and rebuild on 300ZX TT it was big job, lost lots of knuckle skin and invented some new swear words. but it started first turn when it went back in.

God, the 300ZX TT's have next to no room, anywhere in the engine bay.
I wouldn't be surprised if you had to remove the engine to check the dipstick !

haha yes that is very true! it was an auto too so the engine had to be tilted up and the gearbox separated before the engine could be lifted out. the A/C compressor and P/S pump had to be removed from the engine when it was half out. it was a nightmare. but we managed it in the end. putting it in was just as bad, but there were about 100 water and vac hoses to put on as well as boost hoses in an impossible position.
oh what a jolly day that was
haha rather you than me !
