Matt GTE

Due to leaving a deposit on a rolling GTE shell yesterday my current Nova is up for sale (see project thread here (http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=77381)). The car was bought by me in October 2006 as a completely standard base spec F plate 1.0 (registered 01/08/88) in Nordic Blue with the intention of building a track car as cheaply as possible. the car has covered just under 85k miles (original clocks included) and is currently SORN with no MOT. I have the V5 document which is in my name.
For a car which is rapidly approaching it's 20th birthday the Nova is in remarkably good condition, this does not mean it is mint though. After buying the car it was stripped down more or less to a bare shell and a friend spent a whole weekend completing the majority of the welding that was required which included battery tray, behind nearside strut, drivers footwell, both splash guards behind the wings, a patch on the seam behind the passenger seat, the rear of the nearside inner wing, nearside rear spring mount (chassis rail) and a patch on the offside chassis rail behind the shock. In all cases the rot was cut out and replaced with new metal. The car also has 2 new front wings (pattern but fit is reasonable) and I replaced both of the doors with a pair of delocked doors from a K plate SRi which while not immaculate are not rotten. The wings and doors have been painted in the original Nordic Blue but the match to the rest of the car is not great, I suspect this is due to the rest of the paint being 20 years old and in need of a cut and polish. Both rear arches have been undersealed as has the nearside front and the inside of the nearside wing, I haven't got round to doing the same on the offside front.
While the majority of the welding has been done, the rear of the chassis rails where they meet the back panel need attention and the back panel itself has a couple of holes with a tiny bit in the boot floor corners and spare wheel well. There are also a couple of 50p size areas in the drivers footwell that could do with patching and the rear wheel arches are not brilliant but that is about it. I do have a new Hadrian back panel which I may consider including in the sale at extra cost. I have a lot more photos which I will make available to anybody who is interested.

The car is currently fitted with Nova GSi running gear and a 60mm lowering kit which are not included in the sale, this is to be sold as a rolling shell. I will be swapping the suspension over from the GTE when it arrives but this won't be for 2 weeks so the car will not be available before then although viewings are welcome. The front doors have central locking motors fitted (with an additional motor in the drivers door for remote control) and I think I have a central locking loom somewhere although can't promise. There is no interior at all, I may have a Mk1 dash when the GTE comes but again I'm not 100% sure. I don't currently have a steering wheel although I will try and sort something out for it.
The car WILL come with GSi tank, pump and lines (not fitted), GSi servo and master cylinder (not fitted), 256mm front brakes with new Goodridge braided hoses (rear hoses not fitted), and a 1.2 rad and fan. There may be other bits and bobs that are surplus to requirements when I get the GTE but anything in addition to what's been listed should be considered as an extra not a given. I have a choice of wheels available, either the 13" and 14" steelies in the photos, 3 spoke SR alloys (unsure on state of the tyres at the moment as they're coming on the GTE) although these will not clear the 256mm front brakes as far as I'm aware for an extra ?30 or a set of 15" TSW Alpines with legal 195/50/15 tyres for an extra ?50. I also have a nearly new standard GSi exhaust centre section if you want it.
Would be ideal to reshell a rotten GTE/SR etc or as a track car as I had intended. I'm looking for ?250 which I consider to be reasonable taking into account the extras, if it doesn't sell I'll remove all of the panels and scrap the shell. Please do bear in mind that the car is a rolling shell so will need trailering. The car is located just north of Bedford.
As I said I have a lot more photos if required and viewing is welcome.

Thanks for looking,
Matt.
