E Reg?

i didnt know where to post this, so i guessed here! Im looking at an E reg for a first Nova, is it really bad as it sounds?? (e.g abit old!?!) Its given a great write up by the owner, a full M.O.T, tax etc, good condition, 5dr hatchback.....what you guys think, and u rekon it will get me to Birminghman and back later in the year????

why bother when you can just get a 3door? go on autotrader.co.uk there is jplate 1.2s :lol: for 400!

ok m8 if your using it for normal use go for it but an e reg will have rust!
check obvious arches, engine bay ie turrets and all seams, inside the boot, and underneith round the top spring seat (rear) :)

dan16v does have a point there which i agree with(this is a first me agreeing with sum1 so remeber foreva).
but if theres lil rust then go for it,
other thing is go round ya local car dealers ask if they have had any novas in part x.

be different 5doors do look gd,
also 17 bolt stright on.

remeber(i work wiv cars so trust) he will put in the add more than what he wants,

well its my 1st car, and only to get to work + college in till i can afford sommat better in a few months (probably the newer 3 dr cos yeh - they do look better)...it looks like new, but its only a picture :( ...so who knows

but just for a few months, i cant fall off ..can i? lol

go for it - if its a run around yer after not a bad start.

Like the guys say, check the usual rust spots - older mk1 novas are renouned for rust but you might have a good un there. How many moles it covered?

Make sure you get full service docs and might be worth getting someone who knows about cars to come out and check it out. Take it for a spin and listen for noises etc - check for smoke out the back, check the engine and look insode the boot under the spare wheel and along the seams.

ade when cars get to this age its rare for a serive history let alone a full one

well it looks like the whole thing is off anyway, only chance of getting a car was to have insurance in Dads name, but he dont wanna pay monthly for it, so i guess i gotta wait another month before i can buy a car :cry: ...ah well, thanks for ya thoughts anyway!

now you can get a 3door! and hayze 17s dont go straight on a 5dooras i know some one whos done it and they had to do the mods like any 3door owner. and i have never seen a nice 5door :lol:

dont worry what reg it is both my sr's seemd like museaum bits cause they were f'plates but u dont care cause their a blast to drive my gsi is a j'plate an if u think bout it thats 11years old
