anybody done it before? i presume for that price they are the better way to go rather than twin webbers on my 1.6 gsi nova engine?

poor option for the 8v.

especially for the STUPID money involved with them.

depends what you want from the engine...

you could just as easily bin the ECU and fit an aftermarket one such as a DTA/MBE/gotech and have that setup to suit the rest of the engine. Keeps the std inlet, injectors, TB etc but can allow similar max power as T40's, but better driveabilty since most RR's these days are next to useless at setting carbs up :(

if you go for carbs i can recomend bogg brothers for setting them up, hes an old guy and does most of the setting up by ear the results are great, they also do bike carb conversions which are ment to be a smother set up than webers

My method for picking what management to run is as follows.

Find an RR you want to do the mapping.
Find out what ecu they prefer working with (this gives you the best results per ? spent)
buy via them, they will know what you need.

job done.

or if mapping yourself, you know what you need already
