When I started uni in Oct I left my nova in the care of my good friend Colin. He's been storing it and looking after it for the past 6 months and i finally made time to go round and say hello today. I'm sooo glad I didn't sell it!!! Took it for a spin, on a private road, and it was amazing! So direct and raw, reminded me why I love it so much (argh!!) Anyway here's a couple of pics, nothing's changed but I have a new camera so thought I'd whore a little bit. :D

Glorious. It won me over watching you in it at Llandow back in August. Looked plenty quick esp as its a 1.6 compared with all the XE's in track Novas now.

The speed also put a smile on my face today, I've got used to Astra 1.7td and Calibra Ecowreck pace

Nice one Oli, didn't know you were going to be local - else we could have met up, as I was out for a blast in the Nova today too lol

As above really - got any days planned? Are you going to be at Combe? jeeez - two weeks today!

i don't really have any plans for this year, the only thing I have booked is PV :( Not sure what i'll be able to afford, maybe some trackdays over summer as I'll be earning then! I may show my face at combe but the nova won't be there I don't think. I have a garage sorted at uni for next year so I'll be able to crack on with development of the car, there are hundreds of little (and some big) jobs that I've been putting off for ages!

Bloody right it's staying smallblock! Big jobs like getting the wings, bonnet and boot painted properly, dry sumping it and a diffuser, splitter and flat-floor.
Glad team smallblock will have at least one representative! :)

As tempting as it is Lee, it'd mean taxing and insuring the car before then, driving back from Southampton to the Midlands, then to Combe, then back to the Midlands, then back to Southampton. Which is too much I'm afraid! I may come to Combe in the barge to say hello tho!

Got a friend with a dolly, but then need a tow car, as his has done a HG. But even then it's a sheeite load of faffing around and driving about for a brief track session.
