Don't like the rear lights though........

i had smoked lights on my first 1.2 spin nova many moons ago. i look at pictures of it now and cringe when i see the back end. smoked lights in my opinion are chav and ruin the look of most cars.

i have a 5mm spacer. could possibly get away with a 3mm but i wasnt risking taking the paint off. also use a gsi servo with them.

You bringing it to the Scottish Nova meet mate ?

Looks like it did back circa 96 with the Alessio's.

Personally I think it just needs the tailgate vinyl putting back on. Lights area personal choice, tinted ones look OK on the dark car but clears are chavier.

Do it, you know it makes sense! and with it being the nova's 25Th birthday an all i think most cars owned on here by true enthusiasts are trying to get that back to standard/old school look from the early 90's etc.

it needs a clean.

As Rick said it sort the arch out. in the pic it looks like there is abit of rust coming through. get a wire brush on it and give it abit of paint. a car like that you dont want to skip things like that before it gets worst. unless it is just mud/dirt but do look like rust.

But the car is very nice, i like the wheels better then before and the lights are as good imo. keep it up :thumb:

Glad to see this car is still looking well!

Alesios look much better.. :thumb:

Just get the O.E vinyl put back on the tailgate with just the GSi badge & maybe 16v sticker (see below)

Also try some MK4 Astra Side Repeaters (clear ones like i had on mine)

http://www.cls.eclipse.co.uk/carpics/DSC02697-vi.jpg

The back lights look spot on... :thumb: or you could do like this?? (use orange bulbs obviously) Then maybe when you put the vinyl back on do the stickers like this??? Just an idea... (obviously GSi lol ) personally i wouldnt bother with door GSi stickers..

Mark owns it now..(novacabrio) sold last October... back on G904 YNB.. Yeah interior was one of the main features of the car.. and the headlining was one of my fav bits along with leather MK4 Astra sun visiors and leather covered (think its vectra) electric sunroof surround...(credit to Brian Thomas for doing that for me!) i do miss the car, but it was becoming more of a burdon than a hobby, never used and couldnt be ****d getting it out of the garage etc and was totally fine when it went, weight off my shoulders etc.. Couldnt have gone to a better home :)

As for the rear lights.. i used a combination of Euro clusters and UK Spec clusters and cut out the yellow lenses out of the 2 which would go on the car.. then cut the clear glass out of the 2 as doners... the clear silconed in place.. i used a dremel and was very fiddley and time consuming.. There is an easy way.. buy the clear clusters and get the Foliatech Red Tint spray for lights...then just a yellow bulb! i think with this combination it just brings the car up to date.. i may have a set in my loft!?!? But i cant look at the mo as im having my roof redone at home...

Been to knockhill quite a few times.. go on the Subaru owners club trackdays with my mate Mark (red F355) been in the Nova twice i think and in the VX a few more than that... He lives in Dullatur.. used to live at the waterfront in the centre of Glasgow, he now rents thats out..

Heres some pics (taken on camera phone) of my freshley retrimmed VX, done again by Brian Thomas... using Charcoal Grey alcantara (Nova was slightly lighter using the same fabric as found in the Aston Martin Vanquish!) and leather but this time the leather has a grain rather then the smooth type used in the Nova  Think the retrim along with carbon fibre doors cards and facia plates contrasts perfectly! Just waiting on the carbon fibre gear lever / handbrake surround..ready end of this month!! (www.carbontecshop.com (http://www.carbontecshop.com))

I love the size of the tailpipe on this car, part of the reason I like the rear view of it so much, esp the way it was phot'd in MAX Power all them years ago.

My new exhaust is pretty much the same.
