i see theres plenty of people on here with trackday novas.and have been looking thhrough the WIP threads alot lately.

some of them are 1st class .........but a we bit out of my league and indeed budget.

i was wondering whats the basic neccesities to begin with.........what will i need?

i think i'll spend a day with the welder out at my old orange nova...and build it back together for this purpose.

its got a 1.4 sri corsa engine and box.....all still connected up with the tank and that.....and has g-max -60 mm springs and shocks#....sri corsa brakes.

what else would i need to get for it to get started.

i'm good enough at welding etc ...so patching the shell up......and making a roll cage wont be a problem...and i'd probably strip the shell right out.

cheers folks:thumb:

basically got the idea mate if it was me i would just get the suspension and breaks sorted aslong as the engine runs no matter what size you will still have fun and be half safe lol

wouldnt be a fan of a home made roll cage myself.

could recommend you buy a basic one, weld it in and extend it though.

Money, lots of it too!

Building a track nova can be as simple or as complicated as you want.

Depends how much power you want to run for starters.

Engine, Brakes, Suspension, Cage, Tyres, Seats and harnesess are the basics imo

to be fair youve got the right idea. completely bare the shell, cutting out all un-needed metal then weld all the seams. then keep your current engine, suspenion and brakes and invest in decent tyre and your there. might be worth buying some proper brake pads
