its a daft question but is it anyway possible to wire up a dump valve to my 1.2 nova? ive got an intercooler can set up if it will work that way, just want it for a laugh lol cheers ian
Eh WTF? You need a turbocharger to create the boost the make the dump valve work lol

A few of the best review
"Everytime i hear the noise it makes me scream which is all gd. i think this is the best invention ever"
"Hi i love this thing it has made my car sound the bollox and its easy to install, great buy and none of me m8s av even noticed its not a real turbo conversion"
"i just purchased one last week and fitted it on my vauxhall corsa c 2001 and i was very impressed with the results it actually gave the impression of the car having a turbo and dump valve it certainly turns heads at the cruises i have attended since the sabre-edv v2 was installed i would definitley recommend it to anyone"
LMFAO, anyone who fits an EDV is a tool. For ?136 you may as well lean out the window and sneeze.
A micro switch fits to your throttle, usually around the footwell area. It only creates the dump valve sound when you are full throttle and then back off, releasing the switch. This ensures ultra-realistic operation, just like a real unit.
So if you ease off the throttle does it feather or just give full dump? That oculd be amusing in stop-start traffic lol
WOULD ANY GARAGE BE ABLE TO FIT THIS MOD IN?? HOW EASY IS IT TO FIT??
If you took that to a garage they'd probably laugh at you.

this guy was obiously very satsfied with his "wet fart machine" lol
I'm just another person that loves that dump valve sound! I was going to buy a dump valve for my diesel van (Company Van), but when I realised it would cost ?350 and that I probably wouldnt be able to remove it very easily, I decided against it. I was gutted, but then I saw this! I ordered it straight away because it sounded cool and it was stamped 'loud as fuk'. it arrived and I fitted it. Fitting was simple enough, but they don't supply you with all the neccassary bolts/screws or a gromit if you do need to drill. I was expecting some ripping sound when I tested it in my driveway, but to be honest I was rather dissapointed. Rather than the advertised ripping 'shphhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiss' All I got was a sound similar to the doors of the star ship enterprise opening..? It was no way as loud as I expected. The sound has no body, it sounds like its coming from a speaker (which it is). The sound that the Saber-EDV produces is just wrong. Its too longed out, its too quiet, it definatly dosent sound like a mean old dump valve is sat under your bonnet. It does sound better at speed, and will probably just about fool inbreds and 14 year old boys. It dosent scare old people though, its not loud enough. All in all, a nice idea, but I think they should. 1- lower the price, its extorsionate. 2- take it back to the drawing board and create something better, then charge ?150 for that. I would advise people to SAVE FOR A TURBO, until saber sort out thier wet fart machine.
lmao, how have i missed this thread. just bolt a turbo to the 1.2 and fit a real dump valve, would be worth a laugh

Stop start should be ok as your not at full throttle.

I had a burberry wearer come up to me at the petrol pumps last year and asked why have I fitted ones of those edv's to me nova saying it was a bit sad.
Obviously I just popped the bonnet and said cos it is a turbo. He looks at it and says "no it ain't, where is it then?" I pointed at the turbo and he said "no, thats the manifold mate - you think I'm an idiot?" :wtf:
I closed the bonnet, smiled politely and said...
"yep, you got me there mate!"
and just had to walk away.
