major help - leccy windas not working!

HELP!

wired up my leccy windows - the little lights come on on the switches but the wondow armatures dont move!

Both arms are up (closed) and I cant fit my windows until I get them down!

Please help - I have checked the woiring and all seems to be ok - brown are earthed (2 of them ) yellow and blue on drivers door are connected and yellow/red blue/red are connected on passenger door.

Power doesnt seem to be getting to the motors

(black power lead has been attached to run through 20 amp fuse as per haynes)

Cars due to mot tomorrow - no good if I cant get windows in!

Any ideas???

erm tricky one this

firstly i would get yourself a test meter on the end of the wire to see if any power is coming out

use the same meter to check to make sure there isnt a break in the wire by doing a continuity test.

check the switches are attached to the loom correctly.

next, put a direct 12v feed to your motors to see if they move, just run a wire from ur battery.

if you cant get your hands on a meter, u can get an el cheapo one from most places for a tenner.

if all else fails, email me and ill do my damndest to help or visit!!!

cheers mike - its ok, Ive worked it out - got a volt meter and everything works.

I foolishly changed the switches from the small nov a ones to the biggher carlton cd ones - thinking they would be the same! Theyre not!

tested motors across battry - work fine - just rfitting original switches now
The carloton cd ones are smart (they are the same but have bigger smarter surrounds!)
