My 3 litre v6 is goin in my nova this week and was just wondering what sort of power its gonna be producing/ 0-60 times roughly?

About 200 bhp.

0-60 will depend on what gearbox you choose tbh. The V6's F25 is long geared & poor for acceleration, though 2nd gear will be good for overtaking manouvres on the motorway at 70mph. It will go a lot better on an F20 box.

Dont expect it to dice through twisty lanes like a smallblock whippet though.

Quite, expect copious amounts of understeer.

Standard 3.0 V6 varies between 178-210bhp

if you can get the power on the ground and keep it out the trees it might be quite quick. theres too much weight over the front wheels for me to be passionate about this nova.

Would it handle tho???????

No. It'll push on & understeer in bends tbh.

In a straight line the grunt & noise will be fantastic. 5th gear will probably do 25 -130 mph.

no. unless you can induce an oversteer and use the power/torque to pull you out and round the bend.....then itl understeer into the trees.
it will take some getting used to. expect a well dialed 1600 small block to eat your face on a twisty track.

Yeah i was thinking about dropping a 2.5 v6 into mine but it would handle like a dog i would order your gravestone if your thinking of getting one

Also what would it be like bottom end?

I believe Dougie from TV is using an F20 box and bunging in a 5th gear ratio from an F18WR box.

www.tssd.co.uk (http://www.tssd.co.uk) I think shows how.

Its not being designed to round bendy's its being done for just the excitement and for overtaking ppl in straight lines, putting an f20 box on it, hoping to have it all done for PVS engine is going in this week but needs a respray

Im not trying to diss your driving mate hust saying the power to weight ratio is unreal lol

No need for a gravestone, it just wont feel all that dynamic & point/shoot at corners.

As for bottom end, it should pull very well from low revs in almost any gear tbh. As I said. 5th gear will go well from 25ish to 130ish.

Fit a flat xe fly, and a f20, that'll help it loose its "sluggish/lazy feel"

It will handle ok, its not like the first bend you hit about 15mph you'll just fly straight on and not take the bend lol. It just wont handle as good as say a small block with the same suspension....

Good luck fitting it too, ive heard there a bastid of a job, rear manifold hitting the steering rack etc etc. Put plenty of pics up :)

I was going to do this a while back. I rekon it will be a cracking engine for a cruiser / bruiser of a car, but as stated, not the best if you want to have fun in the twistys. Pay a lot of attention to the suspension (id fit at least 350lb springs on the front) and the brakes, and it'll probably be a right old giggle :) Wheelspin-tastic lol

My mate did a saloon version and the engine was so heavy it caused the back end to become very very light so that was a bad idea lol
