Thats my mates old saloon, it was a propper mint car and I thought them arches looked much better than standard.

the rear arches on the one in the picture are front arches cut up as they are still round and not flat

well as i have some on my saloon , albeit wide arches im slightly biased towards likin them :)

Put it this way, if they looked that good on then why didnt vauxhall make them like that from factory! Because its wrong and not right

Yea they didnt make a 2ltr, and why? well look how much work it needs to have one. such as higher poundage springs to take the extra weight, and all the extra strength the shell needs. If vauxhall were to make a 2ltr they would have to invest in more money to make it work and think about the shell more. then it would never be the cheep car for people to afford as they would have to charge alot more to make profit! So leads us to the arches it wouldnt of cost alot to make a saloon with hatch arches as they already had the molds but never made them as it DONT look right and the round ones are better.

The Nova was a small, economical city going hatchback. The ethos was if you want a fast "hot hatch", either stick with the GTE/GSi, or if you want faster get an Astra. Putting a 2.0 in a Nova would have taken it out of its class - if vauxhall really wanted to put a 2.0 into it, they could have.
