2l gte engine?

Are you talking about the astra GTE?

16v or 8v?

In a metro?

well if the xe fits in a mini and a metro engine bay is bigger than a mini engine bay, it will fit!!

might be better buying an off the shelf kit for an xe into a mini and adapting that to your metro

Might as well fit a 1.8 16v rover lump.. thats been done in metros a few times successfully and i would imagine it would be alot easier than fitting an XE.

i would stick with the XE, the K series is weaker than a camels back. wet liners=bad tunings. i know DVA has over 200hp from them but its not a lot and is far more expensive and scary than tuning the XE.
drop the metro subframe and start with engine mounts, then work out from the gearbox to the hubs. the rest is just electrical string and plumbing.
