I'm guessing its a 4 door, cos there aren't many 2 doors left for less than ?5k...
I had one for about 2 weeks for free once, the deal was if it passed its mot then I had to pay ?75. but it failed. it was a 1.6 with beefed up suspension (tarmac rally spec apparently) for towing. by god it was a hoot to drive, sideways everywhere, steering on the throttle, looking out of the passenger window going round corners. I rue the day I got rid of that car, it would have made an ace Seven kit car...
You should see about selling the old engine to a locost racer, they use 1.3 kent lumps

haha its a 4 door yes, looks like its only 10k on the clock too, but it needs news wings, arches, and some small holes in the o/s sill and both footwells.

plans are to strip the dam thing, dry build with gussets etc reinforment. hopefully i'l fit a c20xe with a type 9, LSD, with single leaf rear axle and billies all around.
still so much to do, bought new wings and arches yesterday, now today im on the hunt for boxes to start putting bits in. (and to find a new job)
