gearbox help..

hello i have purchased another nova and i see it has an f10 gearbox its off a 1.0l.

my mate aaron said that this is a really good gearbox because its close ratio can anybody tell me if this i true and if so what are the benifits of the f10 compared to a f13 thats on my gsi:thumb:

the f13cr that is fitted in the gsi has far better ratios than the f10 fitted in the 1.0, but the 1.0 probably has a lower diff. the f10 will not fit the gsi cos the flywheel is bigger on the gsi

thanks so the f10 would be good for the lads over hear doing stock rods.
they use 1.2 and 1.3 novas and corsas on an oval track:thumb:

find out the codes on the end of the cluster. all the parts are interchangeable ie final drive etc. so you may be able to put in a FD that gives you more acceleration if thats what you want. There is a guide how to do it on the guide section.
