wheel problems

ok its not a vauxhall but its a general knowledge kinda thing,

its on a ford

fitting some wheels that the tyres rub on the suspension strut.

fit 10mm spacers on and it clears it but leaves little thread for the nuts to fasten too.

now can i change tyres from 195 to 185 and fit 5 mm spacers

or

will i need to fit the 10mm spacers and also fit longer studs so the nuts can fix on more.

any gen would be appreciated cheers

You can do either.... both will, theoretically, put the edge of the tyre in the same place. I'd be inclined to fit longer studs though, the more thread the nut grips on the better.
