Reverse light problem - Astra Mk3

Our missus Astray is lacking reverse lights?!

Changed the bulbs, checked the fuse/s, changed the reverse light switch twice and they still refuse to work? Any ideas anyone?

Its a 1.6 16v w@nko tech if that makes any difference. C16XE iirc

have you traced the cbles ? maybe ones broken somewhere between the reverse light switch and the back ?

or the bulb holders themsleves, if the copper has broke it wont be connecting to the bulb

Ah the copper things on the rear bulb holders is a god though ;)

Funk knows what engine it is lol its an Astra Sport (All ?300 of it :D) but TBH it fecking motors :D

my old mk3 astra was always suffering with duff connections in the rear lights.... try round there with a volt tester/light

take plug of reverse light switch,
bend a split pin and link out the two wires
in the plug, turn on the ignition and see if
lights come on?
if they do the wiring and bulbs are ok,
and the problem is the switch or in the box.
