Update: 24th March 2008

Been out working on the car today. First job was to cut out section to take the alternator:

Hopefully my uncle will be coming across sometime this week to sort out when he can do all the welding and the cage for me.
Just a thought sitting on my mind about the colour?? Thinking either VW Dark Metallic Grey with black wheels or Porsche 911 GT3RS Green with black wheels??!!

Nice work, havent seen any updates on the crsa for a while on JOV, looks like youve spending your time playing with it instead lol Dont blame you!! Never relised that the gold 5 door was yours, I was parked next to it at the Belgium treffen in 2004 If im not mistaken

Forgotten my username on JOV so that might be why :roll: !! But there's a complete build thread on CorsaSport.co.uk! Oh yes, Belgium 2004, and Nurburgring!! I remember Belgium very well. Was a very good and enjoyable weekend.

Bit of an update, not done too much really but heres the pics anyway!

Bought some good ol cesaros for the car:

So tried them on just for size!

Removed the heavy steel sunroof plate, to be replaced by Carbon Fibre. Rubbed down and etch primed the roof as it had gone a bit rusty!!

Then got a can of Mistral Grey to see how the colour would be, might go slightly darker, thinking of Mitsubishi Stone Grey, the colour of the Evo 8 MR:

Then set about cutting the rear bumper to reduce drag on the back of the car. Not the most attractive bumper, but does what its supposed to do!
