areet lads and lasses i gots a ****ing stupid question, ive bought a big bore 4" exaust to go onto my 1.2 (to be) nova, but ive been told that it could affect the cars performance, i.e. no engine power, ive never heard of this before, am i buing filled full of **** or is this true??

You bought a 4 incher for a 1200? You could flow 300bhp through an XE with that!!

Yes, I would imagine it would make it slower. There will be sod all back pressure. Like a fart in the wind.

It may sound fast (if flatulence in a baked bean tin is what you consider to sound "fast"), but will lower the back pressure.

Turbo engines like a nice free flowing exhaust, but NA engines need a little bit of resistance in the exhaust.

its not a 4 inch bore system then lol, its a 4 inch tail pipe and to be honest its going to make naff all difference to the way the car drives. Apart from making it sound like its doing mach 10.
