lol the 16v corsas are shocking to work on. We charge ?300-?350. But they are an **** hole to get at anything especially the inlet. Have known some garages to not even touch them. Expect to pay 300-500 for one and for the prie to rise when they realise its isnt a 2 hour job.

Yoza was the email sent the garage address? I wont have access to that any more as I only pop in at weekends now.

?850 is a lot, I know they are an **** hole but that is quite over kill imo. Done loads of them now but they arent what I would class as fun lol

?850? F**king hell lol

Do it yourself.
Its tricky yes but perfectly do able. Piece of pi** once you get the throttle body/upper inlet off, just the same as any other 16v engine.

When youve been quoted ?850 id be VERY bothered to have a crack myself.

Depends what parts your changing.
Headgasket+bolts= ?15
Coolant=?5

Then if your doing waterpump/cambelt kit etc it can start getting expensive, but well worth doing whilst its in bits as the std cambelt rollers/tensioners are ****e and have a habit of breaking.

thats what id do change cam belt etc then its doneits on 54000miles the engine so its due for the cambelt.
