need help with c20xe power probs

the thing is with my engine its on and off the power u can drive it ten miles and for the first two its slow then it will fly then it will go flat again has anyone else had this prob. i've just changed the plugs oil and filter its got a power cap and its in a nova some times the engine just dies altogether not so its off just like its got no spark or summat on tick over its lumpy and when u take ur foot off it pops and splutters can anyone help

few questions for you?

a)what fuel pump are you using?
b)Has it got an engine management light wired up?
c)who did the conversion, is it all done "ok"?

I would agree the Paul from experience in the past i had the same problem in a mk2 astra van with a xe in it. It turned out to be the fuel pump relay that was cutting in and out,plus tha same relay controal the injectors as well and it was not allowing fuel through. Replaced relay and it went better than it ever did

My mates did this when it was hot it turned out the relay was getting too hot and did what you are describing,we made a heatshield for it and relocated it.Problem was then solved:thumb:

a big thank u 2 everyone who helped changed the fuel relay but still no diff then i nicked an ecu off gunny and the car came back 2 life and broke yet another gearbox lol
