i would immagine theres still a good lot .................even in northern ireland here theres stuill plenty about in various forms.


it would be nice to know i guess.

i've 2 that are sorned.............so that can start the ball rolling lol.

it would even be good to know how many are actually registered on this site altogether.

that would be a good place to start.

i drive a cavalier turbo..........and acording to the owners club.theres only 280 or something left still registered.

i think 'people in high places' can get that sort of information from the dvla, so if someone has a 'friend of a friend' they could ask

I have one sorned. Ive owned 5 IIRC.

1 I still have
1 got crushed (K reg SR) after it was shelled into what i presently have
1 got sold then crushed (K reg GSi)
The remaining 2 SRi's i bought purely to break.

first one a 5 door luxe plus - scrapped as was rotten
5 door merit -to strip for spares
3 door 1.2 - was written off
gte - stripped for parts

I have one in my garage, a 1.2 meriit. I sold a 1.4sr last year but I doubt it will be still be alive, as it was pretty rotten and the lad I sold it to sold it on again.

2 x 1.2 diamond, 1 standard and the other with a gsi kit both metallic blue
2 x gsi's, 1 silver which was a rot box sold long a go, and the diamond black that a have now full restored.

a bare shell- sold on to be raced
a beaten up stock car, sold to be repaneled

and the one i got now is a bit rotten.

not all ever made it on the road though as 1 or 2 have been brought as donors apart from the red topped 1.2 blue merit plus which is the one i have at the minute i have no idea where most of them have gone on top of them i have had 2 corsa sri and the the pickup corsa sport aswell

ive had 3, one in daily use, other off the road for new engine or possibly sell, one off the road in yorkshire sold a lad for his first car and he is fully rebuilding it.

Well in 1987, Vauxhall shifted over 42,600 Novas in the UK. So that gives you an idea of how many were about back in the day lol

Personally, I've had 5 - 1992 J reg 1.2 merit 3dr, 1991 H reg 1.2 merit 2dr, 1987 D reg 1.0 3dr (which were all sent to the big scrapyard in the sky), and a 1988 2dr which is still alive, ish.

Also had my hands on a green Mk2 1.2, and a b-reg Mk1 Spin, again both were sent to the crusher.

1x mk1 3dr 1.2 merit was trully used and abused at the local flappits (stripped n offroaded)
1x mk1 5dr 1.2 L just trying to get insured

then a will probly get another nova next year possibly a black sr ??? (mk2) seen as its ma mates and he said he'l sell me it next year

ive had 2, an sx that got wrote off, and my gsi ive got now.
my mates had about 23 i sh!t you not!

b reg 1.2 merit, got 1.4 then head on'd by a mk2 cavalier
e reg gte (bought as a write off which had no chassis no.s left! cough cough) stripped for spares
a reg 1.2 beige ran as a 1.2 for a year, found out it had a 1.3 btm end, 1.4'd it, 1.6'd it, kept it for 10 years, stripped scrapped.
c reg 1.2 shed, ran for 2 months, stripped it & made profit on bits
g reg 1.0 its in my bro's shed with the 1.6gte lump in it waiting for me to find time.

So thats 5 over 20 years, oddly I've never actually sold one complete
