View Full Version : To Tint Or Not To Tint?

Ok now before you say which 1 to do i'm not talking about limo black style tints or anything close to that.

I'm talking about dark smoked, which will just be for the 3 rear windows to keep it legal.

Maby something like this i did on photo shop.

I think they look cool on some of the novas i have seen with smoke style tints .

tinting just the back 3 is very chav. i agree it could look ok if you had just a light tint on all windows but having just the back 3 a dark tint looks ****

No i said i wanted a dark smoked effect.

Not like pitch black lol

And i can't get the fronts done it's not legal.

I thought it was 30% on front but when i checked through a couple of sites it said you can't have any level of tinting on the fronts. :S

I think i'll go police station and ask when car is on road.

If i can have the fronts done a bit would you agree me getting the rears dark smoked then fronts done to whatever darkest possible because they won't be able to go as dark as the rears.

look engage you brain a second.......how can having different levels of tint on different windows look good......seriously. that like having all your panels painted different shades of the same colour.

Rear tints look gay. If you're going to tint, do them all.

30% is legal on front btw.

looks right on some cars but not all!doesnt make you a chav(burgo)to have tinted rear windows,as all new cars now come with tinted rears so i cant see some 80 10 year old guy looking a chavlol i had a full set of tints but removed the front and left my self with the rears

Dont bother going to the police station... they'll more than likely tell you all tints are illegal.

Window tints are for ugly people.

Tints are a bad idea, although living in Oldham you will fit in well.

I quite like tints, but definately not on Novas. They are moving on to being an enthusiasts car, but tints contradict this. My mate bought a white GTE a while back and the first thing we done was rip the tinits offlol

BTW - If you like the look, definately go for it:thumb:

to be honest i like tints on the right car, ive done mine and think it looks ok all done professionally though!!:

id say no on a nova ,

but they dont look too bad on some cars , mine are std on the atsra

tints on a nova = bad

tinting the back 3 windows and leaving the front clear (on any car) = major homo



and as a separate quiery....................just how long is the exhaust on this?:eek: i'd be forever tripping over that when i was getting stuff out of the boot lol
