how hard is the let conversion just found a bloke who sells them for 450 with everything apart from shafts even got the loom

LET engines sell for ?1000+ on there own.....

no serious let engine ill pm u his number he sells the xe's for 250 hence why id like to know how hard it is to fit

As far as i no its the same as the xe transplant (apart from cooler and pipes)unless you are fitting the 6-speed box.

Its quite a complex conversion tbh, if your a newbie to engine conversions.
Its not a conversion to attempt for your 1st engine change IMO

XE conversion is very easy with the righ parts and easily done in a weekend.
LET conversion can be trickier depending on what intercooler you want to run and also if your running a different turbo. Just takes a little planning and research.
Here's a couple of threads to get an idea...
Mine going from XE to LET (http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/projects-restorations/270670-%22simps-nova-let-build%22.html) made more difficult for the fact I chose a very fat, deep intercooler.
Shaun Larnder's which was easy because it was a smaller cooler (http://www.migweb.co.uk/forums/projects-restorations/315241-shaun-larnders-mustard-yellow-nova-sr-let.html)
