View Full Version : getting the nova to start without ignition
I have to move my old nova out of the garage tomorrow, the problem is it has sat for about 2 years and slowly I have been robbing parts off it to keep my other nova running. The first to get taken off was the wiper linkage, then a rear cluster and then the ignition switch burnt out and the barrell snapped (on the same day). I have three wires where the switch would be, is it just a case of conecting them all together so The perm live and switch live are linked out, or do they just need to be touched together. (film stylee?)
I realise this is a bit of a sensitive post so if you want to pm me/delele this post then thats OK.
thanks :)

not 100% sure but i think two wires need to be joined to bring the ignition on, and the third one needs touching together til it starts. dont know what the colours are or even if im right but hey, hope it helps lol

I did delete this, but restored it back as you're asking a legit request and people could still PM you with assistance. I've pruned out some of the replies though, at user request.
Another mod/admin may decide to delete this thread though lol
Aye, I understand. Its just a pitty I didnt keep a closer eye on my own thread then I might have seen cons post!
Think about what the switch does, and its blatantly obvious what to do tbh.
Might be best to close this thread, and anyone can them pm you info if they have any, and not post them in a public thread.
Closed.
Please keep any info on this type of subject to PMs :)
